Pitt-Greensburg will hold its First-Year Student Convocation on Thursday, August 23, at 4:00 p.m. One of the events that officially opens the academic year, we encourage our incoming first-year students and their two guests to attend. Day at Twin Lakes Park! Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the FUN at Twin Lakes Park on Friday, August 24 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Stop by for the FREE food, live music, ice cream, FREE paddle boats, and lawn games. Click Here...

Pitt-Greensburg's annual Activities Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 5 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Stop by Chambers Hall Lawn and visit the tables hosted by the wide variety of organizations. Club de lectura invites you to in the conversation about a book in Spanish! The club de lectura will discuss the book De Cómo las muchachas García perdieron el acento (How the García Girls Lost Their Accents), a novel written by Dominican-American poet, novelist, and essayist Julia Alvarez. President Sharon P. Smith, PhD. is praised for strengthening the Pitt-Greensburg campus. After serving as an influential leader on behalf or the campus and community since 2007, Sharon P. Smith, PhD. announced she will retire as president of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, effective June 30, 2019. Read More...

Award-winning psychologist Jamilia Blake will present Girlhood Interrupted: The Erasure of Black Girls' Childhood at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, in Seton Hill University's Cecilian Hall. The presentation if FREE and open to the public. During her two-day tour of Westmoreland County, Blake will visit various schools and meet with educators including the Pitt-Greensburg campus. Pitt-Greensburg alum Emily Frye '18 and Assistant director of the Academic Village, Sheila Confer were nominated and selected to represent Pitt-Greensburg in the University of Pittsburgh's Spotlight on Women Leaders program in May, 2018. Read More...

Pitt-Greensburg's Summer Science and Math Experience (SSME) marked it's 10 year anniversary this past June. 9th grade Students from various school district, faculty, staff, and counselors participate in the program's week long workshops dealing with a variety of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Students gain hands on experience in STEM related categories through various activities, field trips and experiments. This camp is funded through the generosity of several regional foundations. The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg will host its annual Blue & Gold Week festivities Wednesday, October 10, 2018 through Saturday, October 21, 2018. Don't miss this fun-filled fall week of activities!

The Pitt-Greensburg Golf Outing presented by Elliott Group will be held on Friday, October 12, at the Westmoreland Country Club. Come compete on a championship course while having some fun in support of Pitt-Greensburg! The event benefits Pitt-Greensburg’s Athletics, 12 NCAA Division III athletic teams; the Technology for the Future fund, and the alumni association
