Pitt Greensburg announces fall inductees into Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society. The Alpha Kappa Epsilon Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is inducting two new members for fall 2020.

Applications are now being accepted for the Vira I. Heinz Program for Women in Global Leadership. Pitt-Greensburg students are encouraged to review the application requirements for this well-respected scholarship program. The Vira I. Heinz Program for Women in Global Leadership program awards a minimum of $5,000 to up to three women at Pitt Greensburg for an international summer experience as part of the comprehensive scholarship program. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2020.

Highlights
 

Pitt-Greensburg: Growth Through Knowledge and Understanding Series   Pitt-Greensburg and the Westmoreland Diversity Coalition have partnered to bring "Privilege 101" to our community. Dr. Sheila Confer, director of the Academic Village at Pitt-Greensburg, will lead this workshop that will define privilege both broadly and within the context of racial and social justice.

Pitt-Greensburg students are invited to participate in a new biweekly program called the Wednesday Workshop Series. This series is being offered in place of the Fall 2020 Leadership Conference in order to provide the opportunity for student learning and development during this global pandemic.

The Pitt-Greensburg Democrats are hosting watch parties for the 2020 Presidential Debate series. These watch parties will begin at 8 p.m. with an open, moderated discussion and the debates will start around 9 p.m. each night. Mark your calendar for September 29, October 15, and October 22.

COVID-19 Dashboard and CMRO Updates:

The Pitt COVID-19 Dashboard provides an overview of COVID-19 cases with-in the University community. The dashboard is updated twice weekly, and shows results of ongoing surveillance testing, along with the number of positive tests per day, active cases in isolation, and cumulative positive tests since August 1 among our campus population.

Pitt-Plus is a program sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg’s Student Government Association (SGA) and Office of Student Activities.
