Money Moves: Budgeting & Saving: Hail to Pitt! Hail to Earning Money and Keeping It! Online shopping, mall runs, and impromptu spending. It’s very easy to overspend when you do not have a plan. Join the Financial Wellness Program for tips on building a budget and sticking to it for your financial and overall well-being.


Auditions are open for the Pitt-Greensburg Fall Theater Production. Auditions for the fall theatre production of See How They Run will be held in Ferguson Theater. No experience necessary! Crew members are also needed. Credit is available for participation.

Grocery Shopping on a Budget: Grocery shopping is a great way to control expenses, but it can also be overwhelming if you are an inexperienced shopper. Contrary to some belief, you do not have to join the ramen noodle diet to make your budget work. Join the Financial Wellness Program to discuss making a plan to purchase groceries that will sustain you and stretch your dollars. Virtual Event.

"Disability Policy: Beyond the Pandemic." U.S. Senator Bob Casey presents: The Thornburgh Family Lecture Series on Disability Law & Policy. The pandemic revealed many shortcomings of support for families, communities, businesses, and all aspects of U.S. society.  The effects of COVID-19 on members of the disability community were devastating.  The experience, however, created a clear path for us to build a strong, more resilient support network for people with disabilities, their families, and the services that support them. Financial Wellness Program: Choosing the right Financial Institution for you. Financial institutions offer a safe place to store your money and to receive direct deposits. This helps to eliminate check cashing and prepaid card fees. However, you want to choose the right financial institution for you.

Welcome to PittCat! All are welcome to join us for an overview of the new PittCat and an introduction to search functionality. Workshop presenters will review basic and advanced features of the system, followed by Q&A. Registration is required.
 

Pitt-Greensburg Constitution Day: Pitt-Greensburg will observe Constitution Day on Sept. 15 with a showing of Heidi Schreck's film "What the Constitution Means to Me"  followed by a short discussion of the ideas presented. Pocket constitutions will be available. This gathering will be a fitting opportunity to honor the memory of Dr. Eric Kimball because of his deep interest in, and contributions to past Constitution Day programs.

Pitt-Greensburg Admissions Virtual Nursing Session. During this one-hour virtual session, you will hear from our Director of Nursing, Marie A. Fioravanti, DNP, RN, and our admissions team. This online Zoom session will provide an overview of the Pitt Nursing program, learn about gaining clinical experience, and the job outlook. This information session is offered to all students. Registration is required.

Education Resources Workshop: Looking for background information for an assignment, or doing research for a thesis or dissertation?  Need help finding sources?  This one-hour webinar will focus on the best resources for Education research and show how to get full-text content.  This session is geared for all Education students, with special attention to services and features for those writing their thesis or dissertation. Registration is required.

Growth Through Knowledge and Understanding--Environmental Justice: Pitt-Greensburg and the Westmoreland County Diversity Coalition are again partnering to bring awareness to an important topic through their series, Growth through Knowledge & Understanding. This year, they will explore the topic of Environmental Justice. All talks are scheduled to begin at 7pm and will last for approximately 45-60 minutes. The talks will be available online. Each will be FREE and open to the public with multiple dates planned throughout the semester. Registration is required.

Fall Virtual Career + Internship Fair: Liberal Arts, Sciences & Business: Registration is now open for this event is scheduled for September 23 2021.Explore internship and full- and part-time employment opportunities. Virtually meet with representatives from local, regional, and national nonprofits, corporations, and government agencies. Earn OCC credit.

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg will host its annual Blue & Gold Celebration Monday, September 27, 2021 through Friday, October 8, 2021. We are planning to celebrate in-person.  Don't miss this fun-filled week of activities!
